Yet another social experiment!
Even among my relatively limited network of close friends, I can count several who either profess to be, or would more humbly like to be, scotch afficianados. Add in those who are particularly fond of beer, tequila and bourbon and suddenly there’s a whole gaggle of us. For myself, I won’t claim to have any special expertise or highly developed palate. Instead, I’ll just call myself an enthusiast who sometimes gets a bit snooty about what I drink.
I fully intend to enlist the aid of my direct friends to help with the site, and post their own thoughts on Scotch (and other alcohols). I would also encourage anyone else who feels they have something to contribute to a site like this to register a user and message me that they are interested in being a contributor. I will happily welcome assistance from anyone who is willing to seriously participate.
Finally, this is not intended to be a for-profit venture. Once I get a few posts up, and maybe some supporting traffic, I will probably enable google ads. But honestly, I don’t expect this to ever make money. Instead, it is just an effort to get like minded folks a resource to go to for strong-minded opinions and ego-mad ramblings about liquor.
